The Inspiration for Schiffli lace or Schiffli embroidery was inspired by the pattern sewing machines could produce on the cloth. The Schiffli machine is a multi needle loom, whose fields of embroidery are wide, constant and coinciding.

Our founder, Taranpreet’s journey from studying and working in different parts of India to starting a family and launching her own venture, The Calico Knots. It’s been a whole experience of different cultures, people and alot more things which have led to this creative endeavour.
